The designer: Nina Thöming

Nina Thöming (born 1984) is an industrial designer with Flöz Design, a German studio that has worked with blomus for about 15 years. She begins every project by researching what people need and where the market falls short, then turns those findings into objects that are useful first and beautiful too. Her other blomus designs include the PILAR tableware, the SPLASH carafe and the SONO bath range.

Why we carry it

We are an authorized blomus retailer and have been curating design-led pieces for the home since 2009. DELARA is a bread basket that earns its place on the table: a square steel-wire frame with a removable cotton liner that comes out for shaking or washing, in finishes from bright chrome to soft Moonbeam. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

Buy once: durability and care
