Collection: Essey
Essey is the Danish design company founded by John Brauer, an architecture graduate of KEA in Copenhagen, around an idea he calls Symbolic Functionalism: an object should use a metaphor to express what it does. Its pieces have won the Good Design, Red Dot and iF awards, and the Illusion table, highly commended as Best New Product at London’s Top Drawer in 2007, is sold at the MoMA Design Store and held in the collection of MoDiP, the Museum of Design in Plastics.
