Why Maison Deux is worth it
Maison Deux is a Dutch textile brand founded by Pia and Woes Weinberg and launched at colette during Paris Design Week in 2016. After losing one of their twin daughters, they set out to turn their grief into something positive: a brand that brings colour, optimism and joyful energy into people’s homes. Pia leads design. Production partners are chosen for craftsmanship and responsible production across Europe (Portugal, Belgium, Lithuania, Sweden), and the rugs are hand-tufted by artisans in India.

How to choose
Want warmth? Pick a wool blanket. Want easy care? The Peanuts cotton blankets go in the washing machine. Rugs: 80 x 120 cm for a bedside, 120 x 180 cm beside a bed or under a small table, 170 x 240 cm for a seating area, 200 x 300 cm to anchor a living room (our rule of thumb). Kids’ rooms: Miffy, Olifant, Love, Hearts and Leopard.

Is Maison Deux real wool?
Yes. The blankets and most cushion covers are 100% New Zealand wool, Woolmark-certified; the Peanuts cotton pieces are 100% cotton muslin.
Can I wash Maison Deux wool blankets in the machine?
We don’t recommend it: hand wash at room temperature or dry clean, and never tumble dry. The Peanuts cotton blankets are machine washable.
Do Maison Deux cushion covers include an insert?
No, they are covers only, in 50 x 50 cm (20 x 20 in) or 50 x 90 cm (20 x 35 in).
Are Maison Deux rugs made ethically?
Yes. The rugs carry the GoodWeave label, which certifies no child, forced or bonded labour was used.
