Astep

Astep carries one of the most remarkable pedigrees in modern lighting. Founded in Copenhagen in 2014 by Alessandro Sarfatti — grandson of Gino Sarfatti, who founded the legendary Italian lighting house Arteluce in 1939 — the brand bridges three generations of design mastery. Astep revives and re-edits iconic mid-century Italian lighting designs by Gino Sarfatti and Vittoriano Viganò, bringing museum-quality classics back into production with modern precision and sustainable materials. Every piece in the Astep collection stands on three pillars: design heritage, intelligent technology, and environmental responsibility. For lovers of Italian modernism, Astep is one of the most meaningful lighting brands available today. Available exclusively at MetropolitanDecor.com as an authorized retailer.
