Kandinsky is inspired by the circle paintings Wassily Kandinsky made at the Bauhaus in the 1920s. A sphere of hand-blown smoked glass and a slender brass spear seem to pierce each other in mid-air, a balance of weightlessness and precision. Inside, a custom light source is shaped into the sphere and glows from its very center, and it is included and dimmable. Choose the 11.8" Kandinsky 30 or the 17.7" Kandinsky 45, in smoked grey or smoked brown.

About the designer

Broberg & Ridderstråle is the Stockholm studio of Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle. They work across architecture and design, take inspiration from everyday life and like to mix a rational approach with a little wit and a clash between past and present. For Pholc they designed Apollo, Romb, Turner and Kandinsky.
