Pholc Apollo Zero Machined Aluminum Mini Cone Pendant

The most minimal Apollo: a single 4-inch cone of solid machined aluminum on a fine cable, in polished aluminum or Darkest Hour.

Apollo Zero distills the Apollo collection into one small cone, 4.9" across and 3.9" tall, turned from solid aluminum. A GU10 spot inside sends a clean beam straight down, so it is as useful over a bedside table as over a bar. Hang one on its own or a row of them for rhythm; the 10 ft cable lets you set each drop exactly.

About the designer

Broberg & Ridderstråle is the Stockholm studio of Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle. They work across architecture and design, take inspiration from everyday life and like to mix a rational approach with a little wit and a clash between past and present. For Pholc they designed Apollo, Romb, Turner and Kandinsky.

Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and Apollo Zero is proof that a small pendant can be a design statement. Pholc is a Swedish lighting brand founded in 2015 by Maja and Samuel Norburg, who set out to define what Swedish design can be. It works with designers such as Broberg & Ridderstråle, Nina Jobs and Stina Sandwall, Monika Mulder and Sabina Grubbeson, and every Pholc lamp is meant to have its own personality.

Buy once: durability and care

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; never use detergents with abrasives or solvents, which can mark the machined surface (Pholc’s care advice). Have a licensed electrician install hardwired fixtures.
