Pholc Apollo Machined Aluminum Wall Light, Single or Double

Apollo’s machined cone on the wall: a single cone you aim up or down (Apollo 14), or a double cone that washes light both ways (Apollo 24).

The Apollo wall light brings the collection’s solid machined aluminum to hallways, bedsides and living rooms. Apollo 14 has one cone that can be mounted pointing up or down; Apollo 24 stacks two cones point to point for an up-and-down wash. Each takes GU10 spots, so you choose the beam and warmth. Apollo 14 comes in five colors, Apollo 24 in Aluminum or Darkest Hour.

About the designer

Broberg & Ridderstråle is the Stockholm studio of Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle. They work across architecture and design, take inspiration from everyday life and like to mix a rational approach with a little wit and a clash between past and present. For Pholc they designed Apollo, Romb, Turner and Kandinsky.

Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and the Apollo wall light is one of the most refined small sconces we know. Pholc is a Swedish lighting brand founded in 2015 by Maja and Samuel Norburg, who set out to define what Swedish design can be. It works with designers such as Broberg & Ridderstråle, Nina Jobs and Stina Sandwall, Monika Mulder and Sabina Grubbeson, and every Pholc lamp is meant to have its own personality.

Buy once: durability and care

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; never use detergents with abrasives or solvents, which can mark the machined surface (Pholc’s care advice). Have a licensed electrician install hardwired fixtures.
