NERO glasses by Nina Thöming are hand-blown from borosilicate glass with two walls and a layer of air between. Choose the espresso size (about 3 oz), the coffee size (6.8 oz) or the cappuccino size (8.8 oz). The insulation keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold while the outside stays comfortable to hold, and the drink seems to float inside. Each order is two glasses of one size.

The designer: Nina Thöming

Nina Thöming (born 1984) is an industrial designer with Flöz Design, a German studio that has worked with blomus for many years. She starts every project by researching what people need and what the market lacks, then turns those findings into useful, good-looking objects. Her blomus work also includes the PILAR tableware and the SONO bath range.

NERO glasses are double-walled: two layers of hand-blown borosilicate glass with a pocket of air between them. The air insulates, so hot coffee stays hot without burning your fingers and iced drinks stay cold without dripping condensation on the table. Each order is a set of two. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
