Where the Powell Street Pendant works in the house

Kitchen islands and breakfast bars. Hang them in a row centered on the island, with the bottom of each shade 30–36 inches above the counter. Space the centers to suit the island length so the row ends short of the overhang.

Dining tables and banquettes. Two or three over a table read as a set; keep the line centered and the lowest point about 30–36 inches above the top.

Bedsides, offices and entries. Singles or pairs replace table lamps beside a bed and free the nightstand, or mark a small entry or reading nook.

Pulling the room together

Keep the pendant row on its own dimmer and add recessed or under-cabinet light for tasks. Match the metal to the cabinet pulls or faucet and let the counter stools carry the second material.

For commercial and multi-unit projects

For cafés, bars, hotel lobbies and restaurant counters, repeat the same pendant at a fixed pitch along the bar and specify one finish and one drop height across the whole run. We can total up quantities and spacing for your plan.

When another fixture is the better call

• Anyone who wants a glass shade or a glow through the sides: the dome directs light downward.
• Anyone who wants 2700K or 3500K or tunable white: it comes in 3000K only.
• Anyone who needs bright task light from one fixture: plan extra lighting.
• Commercial 277V circuits: this version is 120V.

Care, cleaning and upkeep

The lamp is replaceable: it takes a standard E26 medium lamp. Dust the frame with a dry microfiber cloth, power off. Installation is hardwired, so use a licensed electrician.
