Where the Klee 70 LED Floor Lamp works in the house

Reading corners. Behind and to one side of the chair, so light falls over your shoulder onto the page.

Sofa ends and bedsides. Where a table would not fit, a slim base keeps the floor clear.

Hotel suites and offices. A plug-in floor lamp adds light without hardwiring and moves when the room changes.

Room planner: size, height and placement

The numbers below come from the manufacturer's specifications and our own placement rules, worked out for the Klee 70 LED Floor Lamp.

• Where it goes: behind and to one side of a reading chair or sofa, so light falls over your shoulder (our advice)
• Ceiling height: at 70", it suits 8–9 ft ceilings and up
• Floor footprint: 7.7" × 5.5" rectangle

Ceiling and table figures are our calculation for standard room dimensions, so measure your space. Have a licensed electrician install hardwired fixtures.

Pulling the room together

Pair it with a table lamp across the room so the light is layered, and keep the cord out of the walkway with a rug or cord cover.
