Kelly Wearstler's Cerne Pendant: a 12-inch Natural Brass disc on a slim stem that lights up and down, 334 lumens at 2700K, damp rated and dimmable.

The Cerne Pendant is the hanging version of the Cerne flush mount: no shade, no visible bulb, just a brass disc and its light. Over a kitchen island or a dining table it creates a calm zone of warm light directly below, and the two-sided lens also washes the ceiling above so the room does not feel dark at the top. It is modest in scale at 12 inches across and 7.7 inches tall, so it works best in sets of two or three over an island, as a small cluster over a table, or alone in an entry or hall.

Six rigid stems are included, four 12-inch and two 6-inch, so you can set the hanging height from 15.1 to 73.5 inches. It is rated for sloped ceilings up to 22 degrees, and it pairs with the Cerne flush mounts for a matching ceiling scheme through the house.

Installation & sizing

Over an island or counter, hang the bottom of the pendant 30–36 inches above the surface, and space multiple pendants about 24–30 inches apart. Over a dining table, follow Visual Comfort's 30–36 inch guidance. Have a licensed electrician install it.
