Hans is Monika Mulder’s wave in metal: a shallow, wide aluminum shade that sweeps outward at the rim. Hans 50 is 19.7" across in a matte White Porcelain finish and takes an E27 bulb; Hans 35 is 13.8" across in matte Black and takes a G9. The broad shade directs light down onto a table while the wide brim keeps glare out of view.

About the designer

Monika Mulder is a Dutch designer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven, began at IKEA’s design department and opened her own studio in 2007. She sees everything as a composition, likes playful, functional solutions, and her work has won awards including Best Swedish Design and Elle Decoration’s Best Furniture of the Year.
