Why we carry it

We’ve been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and Original BTC is one of the few lighting brands that still makes its own pieces in Britain. The glass is mouth-blown in Original BTC’s own glassworks in Oxfordshire, where the company also runs English Antique Glass, the UK’s last traditional flat-glass maker, acquired in 2011.

Our advice: switch off and let the glass cool, then wipe with a soft cloth and a little mild glass cleaner. Handmade glass can show small bubbles and variations; they are part of the craft, not flaws.
