Who this is not for

This is not for anyone who wants a frameless plain mirror; this one is meant to glow.

Why we carry Nova of California

Nova started in 1923 in a Brooklyn factory and has been designing lighting ever since. Today the company is based in Venice Beach, California, and it still builds lamps around the idea its founders had: make a home warmer, cozier and easier to live in. We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and Nova earns its place for one reason: the proportions look expensive and the build is meant to stay in the house for years.

Care, bulbs and dimming

Dust with a dry cloth and skip harsh cleaners. Nova says a damp cloth is fine on clear or mirrored glass, and that a standard touch-up pen covers minor scratches on wood or gold leaf. The 46W LED light source is not included; for dimming, Nova recommends quality dimmable, flicker-free LEDs.
