A minimal LED wall light that projects the image of a classic lampshade onto the wall around it.
The YOY wall light is the wall-mounted sister of the YOY table lamp: a slim white arm whose tiny LED throws a lampshade-shaped pool of light, about 6.7" × 4.7", onto the wall. It is hardwired, with the driver housed in the wall cavity, and draws 3W for 100 lumens of warm 2700K light. Innermost’s US datasheet notes it can be dimmed when installed in groups of four. The design won Best Lighting Sconce at the 2016 NYCxDesign Awards in New York and a Red Dot Award: Product Design in 2017.

About the designer
YOY is a Tokyo design studio known for objects that play tricks on the eye. After the success of the YOYLight table lamp, it created this wall version with Innermost.
Why we carry it
We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and the YOY wall light is the subtlest way we know to add a little wit to a hallway. Innermost was founded in London in 1999 by designers Steve Jones and Russell Cameron, who started out in an old lighting factory in Wembley and went on to work with designers from around the world who had made London their home. Its pieces hang in hotels, restaurants and shops from London to Dubai. Innermost has since closed, so what we have is the remaining new stock; once a finish sells out we cannot reorder it.
Buy once: durability and care
Dust with a soft, dry cloth and keep the LED lens clean (our advice). Have a licensed electrician install hardwired fixtures.
