Facet 18 is the smallest of Tom Kirk’s Facet lights: polished stainless-steel strips arranged around its circumference, each folded into tiny facets that reflect a fragment of the room. From a distance it reads as glass or crystal. It is 7" across and 11" tall, takes one G9 bulb, and comes in polished stainless steel, bronze or brass.

About the designer

Tom Kirk is a British lighting designer known for sculptural, reflective metalwork. Facet is his best-known collaboration with Innermost: a light built from hundreds of etched and folded strips of stainless steel.

Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and Facet is a modern classic of reflective lighting, and Facet 18 is the easiest way into it. Innermost was founded in London in 1999 by designers Steve Jones and Russell Cameron, who started out in an old lighting factory in Wembley and went on to work with designers from around the world who had made London their home. Its pieces hang in hotels, restaurants and shops from London to Dubai. Innermost has since closed, so what we have is the remaining new stock; once a finish sells out we cannot reorder it.

Buy once: durability and care

Dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth; for fingerprints use a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. Never use abrasive pads, polish or solvent cleaners on the finish (our advice). Have a licensed electrician install hardwired fixtures.
