A tiny pendant with a marble-effect resin shade whose scalloped interior, like a column or a seashell, shows from below.
Doric 8 is the smallest of James Bartlett’s Doric pendants: a 3"-wide resin shade, 5.5" tall, cast to look like solid marble yet light and translucent. Look up into it and you see the scalloped fluting of a classical Doric column, turned inside out. Four finishes, from polished black marble to matt rose, make it easy to mix in groups.

About the designer
James Bartlett designed some of Innermost’s most architectural pieces, Brixton, Doric and Chelsea among them. He tends to start from a building or a traditional object, a London turret, a Greek column or a tea service, and translate it into a clean, engineered lamp.
Why we carry it
We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and Doric is one of the most elegant small pendants we have carried. Innermost was founded in London in 1999 by designers Steve Jones and Russell Cameron, who started out in an old lighting factory in Wembley and went on to work with designers from around the world who had made London their home. Its pieces hang in hotels, restaurants and shops from London to Dubai. Innermost has since closed, so what we have is the remaining new stock; once a finish sells out we cannot reorder it.
Buy once: durability and care
Dust the resin with a soft, dry cloth; a slightly damp cloth removes marks. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners (our advice). Have a licensed electrician install hardwired fixtures.
