FontanaArte Demi Volée Table Lamp, Compact LED Reading Light, White or Dark Grey

The FontanaArte Demi Volée table lamp is the compact member of the Volée family: a slim LED arm on a small 7 in round base, sized for a side table, a nightstand or the corner of a small desk. Its 23.6 in arm angles the head over a book, a sketchbook or a keyboard, and the warm, high-CRI LED gives focused reading light without glare. It takes up little room, so it is a natural partner for a lounge chair, a bedside or a compact home-office nook.

Light quality and how it performs

Demi Volée gives about 800 lumens of direct light from an integrated LED, at a warm 2700K with colour rendering above 90. That is plenty for reading, writing or working at a laptop, and the high CRI keeps paper, fabric and skin tones looking natural. The head can be angled so the light falls on the page and not in your eyes.

It is dimmable, so you can go from bright task light to a softer evening level, and there is no bulb to replace. It shares its design language with the full-size Volée, designed by Odo Fioravanti for FontanaArte.

Size and placement

The 23.6 in (60 cm) arm and 7 in (17.8 cm) base make Demi Volée much more compact than the full Volée. It fits a side table of 14 in or more beside a reading chair, a standard nightstand, or the corner of a small desk.

Beside an armchair, set the base on the side table at the back edge and angle the head over your shoulder toward the book. On a nightstand, point the head across the pillow for reading in bed. On a desk, place it opposite your writing hand.

Where it works

Reading corners and living rooms. A neat, focused light beside a lounge chair or sofa, as the maker shows next to a sculptural armchair.

Bedrooms. A compact reading lamp that leaves room on the nightstand.

Home offices, hotels and lounges. Small desks, hotel-room writing surfaces, library carrels and lounge side tables, where a full-size task lamp would be too large. It plugs in, so nothing needs to be installed.

Style and pairing

Odo Fioravanti added Demi Volée to the family in 2025. Its thin arm and soft-cornered head read as quietly Modern and Minimalist, and sit well in Scandinavian rooms of pale wood and wool as well as in Contemporary spaces with dark leather and metal. White disappears against pale walls; dark grey gives a crisper outline against light furniture.
