The design: studio blomus

studio blomus is the in-house design team at the blomus headquarters in Sundern, Germany. It develops many of the brand’s home pieces, from furniture and textiles to home fragrance, drawing on the company’s own design know-how that goes back to 1961.

VISCA is the rug we recommend when a room needs grounding without pattern: a plush, hand-loomed viscose stripe with a soft sheen, in zinc gray, taupe or beige and three sizes. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
