SUKOYA pairs a slim solid-oak frame with oak-veneer shelves you can move and rearrange. The 3-shelf unit is 41.4" wide, 15.8" deep and 36.3" high, a sideboard-height piece for a living room or hallway; it comes with one large, one medium and three small shelves. The 5-shelf unit is the same width and depth but 67" high, with two large, one medium and five small shelves. Wide boards carry books and records, small ones frame a single vase. Choose Natural Oak or White Oak. Assembly is required, and SUKOYA is made in Poland. According to blomus, the SUKOYA series won the German Design Award 2026, and the shelf also received the Best of Design Award from SCHÖNER WOHNEN magazine.

The designer: Kazushige Miyake

Kazushige Miyake (born 1973) graduated in design from Tama Art University in Tokyo, worked as a product designer in Great Britain, returned to Japan in 1999 and founded Miyake Design in 2005. He favors simple, unadorned forms and believes every object carries an atmosphere as well as a shape. He has won the iF, Red Dot and Good Design awards and serves on the Good Design and iF juries. His other blomus work includes the AVIO oak furniture, the MIYABI vases and the KOYOI glasses.

It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
