The designer: Nina Thöming

Nina Thöming (born 1984) is an industrial designer at Flöz Design, a German studio that has worked with blomus for about 15 years. She begins with research into how people really use a space, then shapes objects that solve that need quietly. For blomus she created SONO, MENOTO and MODO for the bathroom and PILAR for the table.

It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

Clean the holder by hand with a damp cloth; it is not dishwasher safe. The soft-touch coating gives SONO its velvety, matte feel, while the insides of the cups, tray and holders are glazed so they rinse clean.
