A ceramic soap dish with three small ridges that lift the bar out of standing water, in seven SONO colors.
The SONO soap dish measures 5.1" × 3.9" and is just 0.7" high. Three small ridges inside hold the bar above any water that collects, so soap lasts longer and doesn’t turn soft. It suits bar soap as well as solid shampoo and solid shower gel. The outside has the matte SONO soft-touch finish; the inside is glossy and easy to rinse.

The designer: Nina Thöming
Nina Thöming (born 1984) is an industrial designer at Flöz Design, a German studio that has worked with blomus for about 15 years. She begins with research into how people really use a space, then shapes objects that solve that need quietly. For blomus she created SONO, MENOTO and MODO for the bathroom and PILAR for the table.

SONO is the blomus bath line we suggest when someone wants their counter to feel calm: rounded ceramic shapes, a matte soft-touch finish and a palette of quiet colors that can be matched piece by piece. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
Buy once: durability and care
Wash by hand only; SONO is not dishwasher safe. Wipe the soft-touch exterior with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild soap, and skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners. The soft-touch coating gives SONO its velvety, matte feel, while the insides of the cups, tray and holders are glazed so they rinse clean.
