OOLONG by Nina Thöming is a 5.5" round trivet: heat-resistant silicone inside a matte stainless-steel ring. The silicone is non-slip and soft, so it protects delicate surfaces, and a ridged circular relief stops the bottom of a pot from sticking when you lift it. Originally designed for blomus tea makers, it suits teapots, coffee pots and small saucepans.

The designer: Nina Thöming
Nina Thöming (born 1984) is an industrial designer with Flöz Design, a German studio that has worked with blomus for about 15 years. She begins every project by researching what people need and where the market falls short, then turns those findings into objects that are useful first and beautiful too. Her other blomus designs include the PILAR tableware, the SPLASH carafe and the SONO bath range.
