blomus MODO Leaning Towel Ladder, Black Titanium-Coated Steel

A slim, leaning towel ladder in black titanium-coated steel: extra towel and blanket space with no drilling.

The MODO towel ladder is 67.3" tall, 21.9" wide and 5.1" deep (171 × 55.6 × 13 cm). It simply leans against the wall, and protective covers keep the floor and wall from getting scratched. Hang bath towels and washcloths in the bathroom, or blankets and throws in the living room or bedroom. The black titanium coating feels pleasant, and it is durable, corrosion-resistant and scratch-resistant.

The designer: Nina Thöming

Nina Thöming (born 1984) is an industrial designer at Flöz Design, a German studio with a long partnership with blomus. She starts from research into how people actually use a space, then shapes objects that solve that need quietly. Her blomus work runs from the MODO, SONO and NEXIO bath lines to PILAR tableware and outdoor pieces such as CALMA.

Why we carry it

We are an authorized blomus retailer and have been curating design-led pieces for the home since 2009. A ladder is the easiest way to add towel space without drilling, and MODO’s black titanium finish makes it look like furniture rather than a fixture. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany: it started in 1921 with bicycle parts, turned to metal design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

Buy once: durability and care

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry. Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect the titanium coating. Check that the protective covers sit flat against the floor and wall.
