The KASANE lid tray is 1.2 inches high with a raised rim, so it sits on a KASANE box as a lid and still holds keys, glasses or a plant on top. Take it off and it is a stand-alone tray for a desk, a vanity or a coffee table. The Small (9.9" × 7.7") fits the small KASANE box; the Large (9.9" × 15.4") fits both the medium and large boxes. Choose Moonbeam (soft cream), Mourning Dove (warm gray) or Anthracite (charcoal) to match or contrast with your boxes.

The designer: Kazushige Miyake

Kazushige Miyake (born 1973) graduated in design from Tama Art University in Tokyo, worked as a product designer in Great Britain, returned to Japan in 1999 and founded Miyake Design in 2005. He favors simple, unadorned forms and believes every object carries an atmosphere as well as a shape. He has won the iF, Red Dot and Good Design awards and serves on the Good Design and iF juries. His other blomus work includes the SUKOYA shelving, the AVIO oak furniture and the MIYABI vases.
