Every KASANE box shares the same 9.9-inch depth, so the Small (7.7" wide, 5.5" high), the Medium (15.4" wide, 5.5" high) and the Large (15.4" wide, 9.7" high) line up and stack into one clean column. Use the boxes open on a shelf for magazines, chargers or kids’ crafts, or close them with a KASANE lid, which doubles as a tray on top. They are made of color-finished engineered wood with a smooth, matte look; choose Moonbeam (soft cream) in all three sizes or Anthracite (charcoal) in Small and Large, and mix them for a two-tone stack.

The designer: Kazushige Miyake

Kazushige Miyake (born 1973) graduated in design from Tama Art University in Tokyo, worked as a product designer in Great Britain, returned to Japan in 1999 and founded Miyake Design in 2005. He favors simple, unadorned forms and believes every object carries an atmosphere as well as a shape. He has won the iF, Red Dot and Good Design awards and serves on the Good Design and iF juries. His other blomus work includes the SUKOYA shelving, the AVIO oak furniture and the MIYABI vases.
