GANO tea towels by Frederike Martens are woven in waffle piqué from GOTS-certified organic cotton. The three-dimensional waffle structure gives a large, absorbent surface that breathes and dries quickly, and the cotton is prewashed to limit shrinking. Each set has two towels, one with a stripe and one with a color block, in two coordinating tones. Each towel is 19.7" × 27.6" (50 × 70 cm).

The designer: Frederike Martens
Frederike Martens (born 1987) trained as an industrial designer at the design school in Halle, Germany, specializing in glass and ceramics. She is known for pure, simple shapes, colors chosen to last and a careful sense of proportion, without losing sight of how a piece is used every day. Her first project for blomus was the SABLO tableware line, later joined by the CEOLA vase.

GANO brings real textile quality to the dish rack: waffle-weave organic cotton that dries fast, with one striped and one block-patterned towel in every set. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
