The square set measures 15.7" and 13.8" on each side, like two clean cubes; the rectangular set is larger, with a 23.6" × 19.7" top standing 17.7" high over a 19.7" × 15.8" companion. Both are folded steel with a matte, slightly textured powder coat that feels almost mineral. Use them as a coffee-table pair, beside an armchair or as plinths for plants and books.

The design: studio blomus

studio blomus is the in-house design team at the blomus headquarters in Sundern, Germany. It develops many of the brand’s home pieces, from furniture and textiles to home fragrance, drawing on the company’s own design know-how that goes back to 1961.

It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry; avoid abrasive pads that could mark the powder coat. Indoor use only. The matte, slightly roughened powder coat hides fingerprints and gives the steel a soft, mineral look.
