The FAROL floor lamp is a 45.3"-tall, 5.9"-wide aluminum column with a glowing top, light enough at about 4.8 lb to carry from the living room to the terrace. Touch the top to switch it on and step through three brightness levels; its warm 3000K light gives 115 lumens and runs 8–40 hours per charge. It recharges by USB. Choose White, Warm Gray or Satellite (taupe), or the metallic Gunmetal and Burnt finishes.

The designer: Peter Lienhart

Peter Lienhart (born 1969) holds a degree in industrial design from Pforzheim University in Germany. His work starts from pure shapes in which every detail has a reason, backed by long experience with the technical side of home products: for him, how a lamp works matters as much as how it looks. For blomus he has also designed the OKU oak boards.
