A thick solid-oak bar stool with rounded edges and a footrest, built to become a family heirloom.
The ELI bar stool stands 29.5" high with a 16" round seat, carved from deep, solid regional oak so it feels both strong and soft. A footrest sits about 12" above the floor, and felt pads under the legs protect your floors. It is designed for kitchen islands and bar counters, but ELI pieces also work as side tables. ELI is made in Poland, and the series also includes a stool, a bench and a step stool. Its siblings, the ELI bench and stool, received a German Design Award Special in 2022, according to blomus.

The designer: Theresa Rand
Theresa Rand trained in her native Germany and in Copenhagen, where she now lives and works, so her designs join the Nordic eye for calm form with a German respect for function and quality. She favors classic shapes, natural materials and subtle colors, and likes objects that are simple and useful but still tell a small story. Her other blomus designs include the STELLA cutlery.

It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
