ALPHA does two jobs in one step. Pour the bottle through the stainless steel opening at the top and the built-in filter aerates the wine while it catches cork crumbs and sediment. The wide base gives the wine room to breathe, and the precision spout pours accurately with no dripping; the residue stays in the filter. A trough for your thumb in the glass gives a secure grip.

The decanter measures 7.1" × 7.1" × 11" (18 × 18 × 28 cm) and holds 2 L, though blomus recommends no more than two bottles (1.5 L). It is made in Poland.

studio blomus is the in-house design team at the blomus headquarters in Sundern, Germany. It develops many of the brand’s home pieces, from glass and tableware to textiles, drawing on the company’s design know-how that goes back to 1961.
