The KOYOI brandy glass holds 3.4 fl oz (100 ml) in a wide, clear bowl that sits on a heavy pedestal of solid glass, which catches the light like a block of ice. It stands 2.6" high and 3.0" across (6.5 × 7.5 cm), a comfortable size for cognac, bourbon, whisky or a dessert wine. Each glass is mouth-blown by experienced glassmakers, the rim is cut and polished with a small bevel inside and out, and the blomus logo is sand-cast into the glass.

The KOYOI glass series won Best of Best for Kitchen & Household at the ICONIC AWARDS 2024: Interior Products.

The designer: Kazushige Miyake

Kazushige Miyake (born 1973) graduated in design from Tama Art University in Tokyo, worked as a product designer in Great Britain and founded Miyake Design in Japan in 2005. He favors simple, unadorned forms and believes every object carries an atmosphere as well as a shape. He has won iF, Red Dot and Good Design awards and judges the Good Design and iF awards. KOYOI means “this evening” in Japanese.
