The Aspen F40 is the large size of B.lux's Aspen F floor lamp family (F17 and F40). Two matte aluminium shades sit on a slender black stem with a round base, and you pick the top shade and the bottom shade separately. B.lux makes each lamp to order in Spain.

The shade stack is 15.5 inches (40 cm) wide and 13 inches (33 cm) tall. B.lux's drawing gives an overall height of 63.5 inches (163 cm), on a round base 15.5 inches across, so allow a clear circle of floor about that size.

Can the top and bottom shade be different colors?

Yes, that is the idea. Choose a Top shade and a Bottom shade from 22 matte aluminium finishes, the same or different. B.lux's price list does not include River for the floor lamps, so it is not offered on this model.

Which bulb does it take, and is it dimmable?

Three E26 LED bulbs of up to 11 W each, which are not included. B.lux lists this lamp as dimmable and includes a dimmer.

How long does delivery take?

Each lamp is made to order in Spain. B.lux lists a lead time of about 60 days, and we ship it to you from there by parcel, packed in three cartons.

About the designer

Werner Aisslinger was born in Berlin in 1964. He is known for his focus on form and on new materials: he helped bring materials such as polyurethane foam into product design, and used it for the Hoodie luminaire he designed for B.lux (per B.lux).

Care

B.lux does not publish care instructions for this model. Our advice: switch it off and let it cool, then wipe the matte aluminium with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners.
