The Aspen F17 is the slim size of B.lux's Aspen F floor lamp family (F17 and F40). Two matte aluminium shades sit on a slender black stem with a round base, and you pick the top shade and the bottom shade separately. B.lux makes each lamp to order in Spain.

How big is the Aspen F17, and where does it stand?

The shade stack is 6.75 inches (17 cm) wide and about 17 inches (43 cm) tall. The whole lamp is 65.5 inches (168 cm) high on a round base about 11.75 inches (30 cm) across, so it needs only a small patch of floor beside a chair, a sofa or a bookcase.

Can the top and bottom shade be different colors?

Yes, that is the idea. Choose a Top shade and a Bottom shade from 22 matte aluminium finishes, the same or different. B.lux's price list does not include River for the floor lamps, so it is not offered on this model.

Which bulb does it take, and is it dimmable?

One E26 LED bulb of up to 11 W, which is not included. B.lux lists this lamp as dimmable and includes a dimmer.

How long does delivery take?

Each lamp is made to order in Spain. B.lux lists a lead time of about 60 days, and we ship it to you from there by parcel, packed in two cartons.

How is the F17 different from the F40?

Both are double-shade floor lamps on a black stand with a round base. The F17 is the slim one, 6.75 inches wide with one bulb and indirect light. The F40 is the wide one, 15.5 inches wide with three bulbs and direct light.

About the designer

Werner Aisslinger was born in Berlin in 1964. He is known for his focus on form and on new materials: he helped bring materials such as polyurethane foam into product design, and used it for the Hoodie luminaire he designed for B.lux (per B.lux).

Care
