Visual Comfort Lyft 12 LED Outdoor Wall Light by Sean Lavin – 12.5-Inch, Wet Rated, Dimmable

Sean Lavin's Lyft 12: a 12.5-inch die-cast aluminum outdoor wall light that throws soft light up and down, IP65 wet rated, in Black, Bronze or Charcoal.

Put the Lyft 12 on either side of a front door, along a porch wall or beside a garage and it gives a clean up-and-down wash that frames the architecture instead of glaring at the street. The body is die-cast aluminum with a powder-coat finish and stainless steel hardware, and the lens is UV-stabilized acrylic, so it is built for rain, dust and sun. It is a residential-scale fixture, narrow at 4.7 inches wide and only 5 inches off the wall.

Choose 2700K for warm brick, wood and stucco, or 3000K for a crisper white against painted or stone walls. A universal 120–277V driver means the same fixture works on a house or a small commercial frontage.

Best for

Front doors, porch walls, patios, balconies, garage entries and apartment or small commercial exteriors.

Installation & sizing

A pair on either side of a standard entry reads well; space them evenly and keep the mounting height consistent. Professional installation is recommended for correct wiring and code compliance. The driver already includes integral surge protection, and the optional fuse or surge package adds protection for exposed or long runs.

Who this is not for

• Anyone who wants a bright security floodlight: this is a soft accent and entry light at 215–286 lumens.
• Anyone who wants 4000K: this listing offers 2700K and 3000K.

Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009. Lyft is a quiet, well-made outdoor sconce that works across residential and hospitality exteriors without drawing attention to itself.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Lyft 12 rated for rain?

Yes. It is ETL wet listed and IP65, so it can be mounted in exposed outdoor locations.

Which color temperature should I choose?

2700K is warmer and suits brick, wood and warm stucco; 3000K is slightly crisper against painted and stone walls.

Do I need the fuse or surge protection option?

The driver includes integral surge protection. The in-line fuse and surge options add protection for projects that call for it; ask your electrician which your site needs.

Can I dim it?

Yes, with 0-10V, ELV or TRIAC dimmers.

How bright is it?

It delivers 215–286 lumens from 10 watts, which is accent and entry lighting rather than floodlighting.
