Wandering Star pairs a solid European marble top with a cast glass lens, so it is part stone, part light. The LED is built in, which means no bulbs to buy and a very slim profile for the amount of brightness.

Choose the marble first: Black Marble, Gloss Carrara, Matte Carrara, Indian Green or Travertino. Then choose the 4.3 inch size for tight spots or the 6 inch size when you want more light.

The designer and the story

Wandering Star is part of the Viso range from Viso Design Studio, the Toronto lighting studio founded in 1999. The studio builds fixtures with architects and interior designers, and a marble and glass pendant like this one is typical of how it mixes natural materials with architectural lighting.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose, 4.3 or 6 inch?

The 4.3 inch (5.5 W, 440 lm) is an accent size for bedsides, narrow runs and clusters. The 6 inch (12 W, 960 lm) throws more light and suits a bar, a console or a small table.

Does Matte Carrara come in both sizes?

Matte Carrara is available in both sizes. Our photos of the matte version are limited to the 6 inch.

Can Wandering Star be dimmed?

Yes. Viso lists Triac, ELV and 0-10V dimming from 100% down to 15%. Match your dimmer to one of those types.

How tall is the drop and how is it hung?

Viso draws a 106 inch overall drop on the silver coaxial cable. It is hard-wired through a ceiling canopy, so we recommend a licensed electrician.

How long will it take to arrive?

Wandering Star ships from Canada in 2 to 4 weeks. All sales are final, so please confirm the marble and size first.

Can the marble be matched to my project?

The five marbles are the standard choices. For project quantities or questions about samples, contact us and we will check with Viso.
