Signal puts a Fresnel-inspired lens made from borosilicate glass in front of an integrated LED, the same idea used in lighthouse lamps. The result is a compact, graphic fixture that works on a wall or a ceiling.

Choose Brushed Brass or Glossy Black, and the 6.8 inch size for tight spots or the 12.1 inch size for more presence. Viso lists it for indoor and outdoor installation.

The designer and the story

Signal is part of the Minimal Design Series from Viso Design Studio, the Toronto lighting studio founded in 1999. The Fresnel-inspired lens comes from lighthouses and searchlights, which gives the fixture its recognisable ring pattern.
