The TR31 is a recent redesign by Tom Rossau that improves both composition and function. Its translucent white PC/PE nonwoven shade hangs at an angle from a circular mount, giving an asymmetric silhouette that changes as you walk around it. The material diffuses the light evenly for soft, indirect light with soft shadows, and the open base sends light down onto the table.

About the designer

Tom Rossau grew up in Odsherred, the curving coastal landscape north-west of Copenhagen that has drawn painters for generations, and his first lamps appeared in 2005. Every Tom Rossau lamp is still built by hand in the company’s own workshop on Frederiksberg Allé in Copenhagen, by a single lamp builder who signs the card that comes with it.
