Tom Rossau ST906 Mini Table Lamp, Birch or White Paper, 7.5 in

The ST906 in miniature: a 7.5-inch lamp of slim lamellas for bookshelves, windowsills and bedsides.

The ST906 Mini table lamp keeps the name and soft profile of Tom Rossau’s classic but uses narrower lamellas for a more delicate look. Only 7.1" across and 7.5" tall, it fits on a bookshelf or a narrow sill. Choose natural birch or white coated Japanese paper; it takes a small E12 candelabra bulb.

About the designer

Tom Rossau grew up in Odsherred, the curving coastal landscape north-west of Copenhagen that has drawn painters for generations, and his first lamps appeared in 2005. Every Tom Rossau lamp is still built by hand in the company’s own workshop on Frederiksberg Allé in Copenhagen, by a single lamp builder who signs the card that comes with it.

Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and the ST906 Mini is the most giftable piece in the Tom Rossau collection.

Buy once: durability and care

Birch: Dust the birch strips with a soft, dry brush; keep the lamp away from water, steam and humid rooms, because moisture softens the veneer and can make stained colors bleed. Like all natural wood, the birch slowly develops a patina and may shift its shape very slightly over the years: Tom Rossau calls it a living material. Paper: Dust the coated paper with a soft, dry brush; marks can be lifted with a barely damp, well-wrung cloth, keeping clear of the uncoated cut edges of each strip. Tom Rossau covers manufacturing defects for 2 years. Have a licensed electrician install hardwired fixtures.
