SUBU makes “winter sandals,” and the Nannen is its campfire model: nannen is Japanese for flame-retardant. The outer is flame-retardant CORDURA® 350D, so sparks from a fire are far less of a worry, over polyester padding that feels as warm as a down jacket. Inside, a raised, brushed lining and SUBU’s four-layer insole give a soft, snug fit you can wear barefoot, on a synthetic rubber sole for the campsite, the garden or a quick trip outside. It comes with a drawstring storage bag and machine-washes on a gentle cycle.
