Seat upholstery. Each option pairs a wire seat frame (black powder coat, chrome, brass or polished gold) with a removable seat and back pad. Every pad fits every frame; pad swatches are shown once. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance faux leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Seat frame and base finishes

The Zebra Wire stool is wire top to bottom: the welded Zebra armchair shell on a base of solid steel wire with a built-in footrest, so the whole stool reads light and see-through along an island. That makes it a strong pick for open-plan kitchens and bars where solid stools would block the view. Mix a black, chrome, brass or polished gold shell with a chrome, black, white, bone or gold base. A removable seat and back pad in faux leather or PPM-FR keeps it comfortable.

Planning notes

• These seats sit low for their class: the 22 in counter seat suits 33 to 35 in counters and the 26 in bar seat suits 37 to 39 in bars. For standard heights, see the Zebra Pyramid stools.
• Allow about 28 in of counter edge per stool with arms.
• White and black counter bases may be made to order and take longer.
• Check that the arms clear the underside of your counter.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

What are the seat heights?

22 in on the counter stool and 26 in on the bar stool, per the price list. These are lower than most counter and bar stools.

Can I mix shell and base finishes?

Yes, any of the four shells on any of the five bases.

Does it swivel?

No, the wire base is fixed.

Is there a footrest?

Yes, it is built into the wire base.

Why do the prices differ?

A black powder-coated seat frame costs less than a plated chrome, brass or gold frame. The pad color does not change the price. The gold base adds a surcharge; the other bases cost the same.
