Base Size and Finish. Choose the disc size first, then the finish. Brushed stainless steel has a soft satin grain, polished stainless steel reads close to chrome, and silver is a scratch-resistant painted finish. Screens show metal finishes slightly differently than real life.
Base finishes

The Tango round base is the weighted steel disc that sits on the floor under a single-pedestal table; it pairs with a Tango or Daisy post and any round or square top you choose, so you can build a dining, counter or bar table to fit the room. The 18 in disc suits small bistro, end and counter tops, while the 22.8 in disc gives the extra footprint for larger dining and bar tops and comes in more finishes. A flat round base keeps legs and chair feet clear, which is why cafes and kitchen nooks favor it over four-leg tables. Brushed and polished stainless steel suit Modern and Industrial rooms, and black, white, silver and brushed gold let you match the post to the chairs.

- Add a Tango / Daisy post in the height you need: dining 27 in, counter 32 in or bar 40 in.
- Match the base finish to the post, or contrast a black base with a walnut veneer post.
- Contact us to confirm the mounting hardware for your base, post and top combination.
- Shipping: in-stock table bases ship in 3 to 5 business days. If the size and finish you choose is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.
Who it is not for
- Rectangular tables over about 40 in long: see the Bosphorus U-legs
- Outdoor patios exposed to rain and salt air
- Anyone who wants a complete table in one box: the post and top are separate items
Care
Wipe the base with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. Polished and plated finishes show fingerprints, so a microfiber cloth works best. Skip abrasive pads, scouring powders and solvent cleaners, which scratch stainless steel and dull plated, powder-coated and gold finishes. Check the bolts that join the post, base and top every few months, more often in busy restaurants.
Designer credit
The Tango table base is designed by Namik Ozkaynak for sohoConcept, a contract and residential furniture maker whose table bases, posts and tops are made to be mixed and matched.

Frequently asked questions
Which base size do I need?
Choose the 18 in disc for small round tops, end tables and counter tables. Choose the 22.8 in disc for dining tops of 32 in and larger and for bar-height tables, where a wider footprint keeps the table steady.
Does the base include the post?
No. The round base is the floor disc only. Add a Tango / Daisy post in coffee, end, lounge, dining, counter or bar height, then a top.
Will it work at counter or bar height?
Yes. Pair it with the 32 in counter post or the 40 in bar post. For bar-height tables we suggest the 22.8 in disc.
Is it heavy enough for restaurant use?
The disc is solid steel, which keeps the center of gravity low under a pedestal top, and it is sold for both commercial and residential tables.
Why do the prices differ?
The 18 in disc costs less than the 22.8 in disc. On the 22.8 in disc, brushed and polished stainless steel cost less than silver, white and black, and brushed gold costs the most.
Which tops fit the Tango base?
Tango is built to take sohoConcept round and square tops in wood veneer, Italian marble, ceramic, clear glass and HPL laminate. Size the top to the disc and post height you choose.
