Height and Finish. Pick the post height first: coffee, end, lounge, dining, counter or bar. Walnut veneer posts wrap the upper column in real wood veneer over a steel or black lower section. Screens show metal and wood finishes slightly differently than real life.
Post finishes

This is the column that sets the height of a Tango or Daisy pedestal table, so one base and one top can become a coffee table, a lounge or end table, a dining table, a kitchen counter table or a bar-height high-top. Dining posts come in the widest range, from brushed or polished stainless steel and white or black powder coat to gold, brass gold, silver and two-tone walnut veneer, plus a thick 5.4 in black or walnut-and-black column for a heavier, Industrial look. Counter and bar posts are a wider 3.5 in tube in stainless steel, with chrome, black and walnut veneer versions. Pair it with a Tango round disc or a Daisy five-star base and any sohoConcept top.

Care
Wipe metal posts with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth and dry them straight away; skip abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which scratch stainless steel and dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Dust walnut veneer with a dry cloth and keep it away from standing water and direct heat. Check the bolts at the base and top plate every few months in busy restaurants.
Designer credit
The Tango and Daisy table systems are designed by Namik Ozkaynak for sohoConcept, a contract and residential furniture maker whose table bases, posts and tops are made to be mixed and matched.
Frequently asked questions
Which post height do I need?
Use the 27 in dining post for a table about 29.5 in high, the 32 in counter post for about 34.5 in, and the 40 in bar post for about 42.5 in. The 14, 20 and 23.6 in posts make coffee, end and lounge tables.
Which bases does the post fit?
It fits the Tango round bases in 18 in and 22.8 in and the Daisy 5-star base. For counter and bar heights we suggest the 22.8 in Tango disc or the Daisy base.
What is the thick post?
The thick dining post is a 5.4 in diameter column in black or walnut veneer on black. It gives a heavier, more architectural look than the standard 3 in dining post.
Is the walnut real wood?
Yes. The walnut posts are steel columns wrapped in real walnut veneer over a stainless steel or black lower section.
Why do the prices differ?
Height drives most of the difference: coffee and dining posts cost the least and bar posts the most. At dining height, stainless steel, white and black cost less than gold, brass gold, silver and walnut veneer, and the thick posts cost a little more again.
Does the post include the base or top?
No. The post is the column only. Order a Tango or Daisy base and a top to complete the table.
