The Sword is an extendable dining table built around its legs: four solid wood legs angled out from the corners like blades, which give the table a light, Scandinavian stance. The top comes in walnut veneer, white high-gloss lacquer or grey lacquer, and a 16 in leaf stretches it from 71 in to 87 in when guests arrive. The legs are solid beech in a walnut finish, so the base stays warm even under a white top. It suits dining rooms where a heavy trestle or pedestal would look too much.

Dust the top with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills right away. Use coasters, placemats and trivets; veneer and lacquer can mark from heat and standing water.
