Leg finishes

The Prisma Pyramid stool brings the swivel pyramid base up to counter and bar height: four solid wood legs angle out from a swivel plate under the seat and are tied together by a metal footrest ring. The seat turns so people can face the island or the room without shifting the stool, and the splayed legs keep it steady. Pick walnut-finish beech or natural ash with a chrome ring, or solid American walnut with either a white mechanism and chrome ring or a black mechanism and gold ring. It suits Scandinavian, Mid-Century and warm Modern kitchens.

• The splayed legs need about 24 in of counter edge per stool.
• The seat swivels on a plate; the legs and footrest ring stay planted, so floors are not scuffed by turning.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Counter or bar height?

Counter stools have a 25.5 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters. Bar stools have a 30.5 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

Does the seat swivel?

Yes. The seat turns on a swivel plate while the legs and footrest stay still.

What are the American walnut versions?

Solid American walnut legs come either with a white swivel mechanism and chrome footrest ring, or with a black mechanism and gold footrest ring.
