Base finishes

The Prisma Piston with full footrest surrounds the gas-lift column with a complete ring, so whichever way the seat is turned there is somewhere to rest your feet. That makes it the most comfortable adjustable Prisma for long sits at a home bar, a lab bench or a drafting counter. The ring and the 17.7 in round base come in polished stainless steel, brushed stainless steel or black. The seat raises and lowers between 22 and 32 in and swivels a full turn; it is a sprung steel frame in molded foam under a removable slipcover.

• The gas piston covers counter and bar height: about 24 to 26 in of seat height for 35 to 37 in counters, and 29 to 31 in for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• The full ring needs about 18 in of floor space; allow 24 in of counter edge per stool.
• Black hides scuffs on the footrest best in high-traffic bars.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
