Seat upholstery. The whole chair, legs included, is wrapped in PPM, a polyurethane performance leather that wipes clean. Caramel is an Italian PPM. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg ring finishes

Prada is a sculpted, fully upholstered dining chair: a steel frame is wrapped from the curved back down to the tips of the legs in PPM performance leather, so the chair reads as one smooth, seamless shape. It stacks two high for storage, wipes clean, and is rated for 300 lb, which is why it shows up in restaurants, condo amenity rooms and waiting areas as often as in home dining rooms. Add a brass or chrome ring at each foot for a jewelry-like detail that also protects the leg tips. Six PPM colors run from quiet black, bone and grey to caramel, white and a deep red.

Planning notes

• The 18 in seat suits standard 29 to 30 in dining tables.
• Stack two high to clear floors for cleaning or events.
• Allow about 24 in of table length per chair.
• Choose a brass or chrome ring if floors are hard and chairs move often; the metal takes the wear at the foot.

Care

Wipe PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Avoid solvents and abrasive pads. Wipe brass and chrome rings with a soft, dry cloth. Colors may vary slightly from batch to batch.
