This Pierre J. dining chair keeps the open rattan cane back but swaps the woven seat for a padded, upholstered one, so it pairs the airy look of cane with the comfort and easy cleaning a busy restaurant or family table needs. The compass-leg frame is solid ash in walnut, black or natural, and the seat comes in wipe-clean PPM performance leather, soft white boucle, or Camira Blazer wool. It is a good bridge between cane-only and fully upholstered seating in the same room. Built in Türkiye, it ships assembled two to a carton and is rated for 350 lb.

Care

Wipe PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum boucle and wool regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the ash frame with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Keep cane away from direct heat sources and wipe it with a barely damp cloth; natural cane can tighten or slacken a little with humidity, which is normal. Wood, cane and upholstery vary slightly from piece to piece.
