The Picollo is a backless teak stool at dining-chair height, small enough to tuck fully under a table and light enough at 9 lb to carry wherever an extra seat is needed. Four splayed teak legs are tied together with low stretchers, and the seat is a tight weave of Viro fiber rope that stays comfortable without a cushion. Use a pair along the open side of a patio table, as a garden perch beside planters, or as a plant stand or bedside stool indoors.

Care

Grade A teak is a naturally oily, weather-resistant hardwood. Left outdoors it slowly weathers to a soft silver-grey, and the grain may rise slightly after the first few soakings. Clean it once or twice a year with a soft brush, mild soap and water; never use a power washer, which erodes the surface. Teak cannot be painted or varnished. For winter storage use a dry shed or garage, and do not move the piece straight from the cold into a heated room, as sudden changes in temperature and humidity can split the wood. Wipe the woven rope with a damp cloth and mild soap, rinse, and let it air-dry in the open.
