Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers; velvet, boucle and Camira Era are upholstery fabrics. Camira Blazer is a pure new wool, and full-grain leather is the top tier. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.
Leg finishes
The Pera Wood stool puts the Pera seat on four solid hardwood legs braced with stretchers and a footrest, a warm, furniture-like stool for kitchens, wine bars and restaurants. Pick the wood to suit the room: beech in a walnut or natural finish, teak in a deep wenge finish, sungkai with a pale white oak tone, or solid American walnut. Add the memory swivel mechanism if you want the seat to turn and then settle back to face the counter; it raises the seat by 1 in. The seat is a sprung steel frame molded in polyurethane foam, under a removable Velcro slipcover.

Planning notes
- Counter (24 in seat) fits 35 to 37 in counters; Bar (29 in seat) fits 40 to 42 in bar tops. The memory swivel adds 1 in.
- Allow about 24 in of counter per stool, or 26 in with the swivel.
- Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter.
- Sungkai and natural beech brighten a white kitchen; teak wenge and American walnut ground a darker palette.

Care
Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
